Bib. note:Ou Jujia ¼Ú¯x¥Ò, Xin Guangdong ·s¼sªF Orig. serialized under the title Lun Guangdong yi suchou zili zhi fa ½× ¼sªF ©y ³tÄw ¦Û¥ß ¤§ ªk in 31 instalments 1902 in Wenxing ribao ¤å¦æ ¤é³ø (Mon Hing Yat Bo, The Chinese World), a newspaper set up by Kang Youwei's Bao huangdi hui in San Francisco, of which Ou Jujia was the editor-in-chief at the time. It was first printed as a book, possibly with some deletions of terms attacking the Manchu, under the title Xin Guangdong by the Xinmin congbao ·s¥Á ÂO³ø in Yokohama in August 1902. There were various reprints, one of them in Osaka in October 1902 (see attachment). This edition contained the excerpt of a long letter by Ou Jujia's teacher Kang Youwei strongly disagreeing with the proposed strategy as well as a note from a review of the book in the Xinmin congbao that took a middling position between the original and Kang's criticism. In May 1905, the book was contained in a list of works proscribed by the Qing court.
